Routing requires a bleed of .15" to avoid uninked areas being visible due to the round shape of the router bit.
A print bleed is needed for contour shapes and two sided printing with ink to the edge. A print bleed is also needed for routed images to allow for the profile of the bit for inside corners. A print bleed is usually not used for one sided square and rectangle shapes if insetting the cut line to avoid white slivers is acceptable. Banners with white hems don't require a print bleed, but any bleed beyond the finished print size will be folded over with the hem.
"No Bleed" will use the cut lines provided in the art file. The TrimBox is used for square and rectangular prints. The "cutcontour" spot color cut line is used for other types of shapes. No changes will be made to the cut lines during the cutting process.
"No Bleed - Inset Cut Lines" will print the art as provided, but during cutting the cut lines will be inset to avoid white slivers left around graphics with ink to the edge.
"1/4" Bleed - Shear" applies to Rigid Material and uses the full size of the selected project size and bleeds the image over the edge during printing. Available for 12" x 12" and larger sizes.
